- Turen skulle være i nyt rovand, så jeg var kørt til Rantzausminge på Sydfyn. Ideen om en tur med ø-hop mellem de mange små øer havde længe været på min ønske liste.
- The trip was to be in a new area, so I had driven to Rantzausminge on South Funen. The idea of an island hoping between the many small islands had long been on my wish list.
- Masser af aktivitet i havnen, både der blev sat i vandet, båder der blev gjort klar og masser af aktivit ved ishuset og grillen.

- Jeg plejer altid at sove på stranden men....... nu lå kajakken jo så fint her på land, solen skinnede, fuglene sang, der var lidt liv på og ved havnen - men jeg har jo mine principper.
- I always tend to wild camping on the beach, but ....... the kayak looked well placed on land, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, there was a good atmosphere by the harbor - but I have my principles.

- Fra havnen og op i landsbyen - huset her er øens forsamlingshus. På mange af de små øer er der ingen kirke. Jeg spurgte hvordan man gjorde ved højtider. De fortalte at præsten kom sejlende til øerne når der var højtider.
- From the harbor and up into the village - the house here is the island's town hall. On many of the small islands there is no church. I asked how they did at church holidays. They told that the priest comes sailing to the islands at church holidays.

- Planen var at være på vandet kl. 09:00 men..... Et ægtepar kom og spurgte ind til min kajak og det at være på tur. Det viste sig at de havde sejler mange af de samme steder i Storbritannien som jeg har roet. Mens den hyggelige snak trak ud var skyerne skiftet ud med sol.

- Det Sydfynske Øhav indeholder samlet set mere end 55 øer, småøer og holme, så muligheder er mange og ligger klar til at blive brugt - vær dog opmærksom på at der er områder med fredning og dermed adgang forbudt i perioder. Muligheder for overnatning i shelters og på teltpladser findes i stort antal. Små øer med små landsbyer, hyggelig og snaksalig beboer og smukt sceneri, både på land og på vandet findes lige for næsen af en. Jeg havde aldrig været i øhavet før, men skal helt sikkert på tur i området igen.
- The South Funen Archipelago contains more than 55 islands, and islets, so the opportunities are many and ready to be used - be aware that there are areas with nature conservation and thus access is prohibited at times. Opportunities for accommodation in shelters and tent sites are plentiful. Small islands with small villages, nice people willing telling about the local area, beautiful scenery, both on land and on water are found right in front of your nose. I had never been to this archipelago before, but I will definitely be coming back to the area again.
